Ideally in my opinion, you should apply with no missing prerequisites, no more than two for an application. You are competing against applicants who have all their prerequisites and probably some recommended classes with grades in hand, and most people would rather go with someone who has all the requirements than someone still working on them. You have more time than you think when it comes to applying to school, but get the requirements done before you submit an application.Would having 6 missing prerequisites at the time of application to optometry school significantly hurt my chances? Would it be better to apply early and have six missing prerequisites, or to apply two months later and have four missing prerequisites?
