On Sketchy Path, it states that when there is a loss of SODIUM greater than water loss→ decreased serum sodium → DECREASED osmolality→ movement of water from intracellular space to extracellular space->decreased intracellular volume. Why would water move to the extracellular space (vascular/serum space) when it already has decreased osmolality? Wouldn't that just further decrease the osmolality?
