Did a search for this and didn't find anything.

I wanted to know all of your opinions out there. Basically, if you were married to a housestaff/attending at a particular medical school might that give you a leg up while applying?

What do you guys think?

I think that it will demonstrate that you know what you're getting into.

It certainly won't hold the door open for you, but if the rest of your application looks good I'm sure it will be a positive factor in your favor.

I think ultimately the application game is a game of inches; the little things add up to help (or hurt) your chances of interview/acceptance. Having a spouse who's faculty will likely only help your app, but you're still going to need solid grades, scores, and EC's to be a competitive applicant.
