Hi guys I'm asking for a friend here, he is a PGY-4 psychiatry resident who is going to take Step 3 in June (~2 months). He did a residency abroad first and then came here for psych residency, so he is many years out of medical school. He is wondering because of these circumstances what would be the best method for him to get a decent step 3 score. His current strategy is to use FA 1+2+3 and UW for part 1 and UW cases and crush step 3 for CCS. Is there anything additional that he should do to ensure a decent score on step 3?

I don't think it's necessary to study FA for Step 1, 2, and 3. A quick review of MTB and UWorld are enough.

I would recommend FA3/UW/MTB max. Do UW first, see your scores, and then decide what else and how much time left. Why do you need a decent score?
