Subsection Score Cutoffs

Hey y'all,

Recently got my MCAT score back: 511 (128, 124, 132, 127) happy with the score, just concerned about the 124 CARS. Would I be good at most MD programs?

I have a 3.95 s/cGPA for reference.

The 124 will hurt, but if the rest of your app is strong then you should be fine. Apply broadly. Some schools have a 125 cutoff but it’s hard to say which schools exactly do since it’s not always explicitly stated

Your score is still solid overall, especially with your GPA, but some schools do have subsection cutoffs. I would contact the admissions offices of every school or check MSAR to determine those things for yourself.
