Summer clinical externships for PhD students?

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knew of any intensive clinical externships that PhD students can do over the summer. I'm in a research heavy program that doesn't prioritize clinical training and would love to get some more experience.

Are there any in NY or on the east coast? Do VAs offer any kind of clinical training over the summer?

Can't speak to the east coast, but I did summer practica at a well regarded VA for two summers. Doesn't hurt to ask the TD/Asst TD.

Thanks for your response. Did this VA have a formal program or did you inquire about the opportunity yourself?

Bumping this. Also very curious. Particularly about those on the west coast (i.e. California).

No formal program, just arranged it with the training director.
