Tablet for medical student

Hi there!i'm gonna start medical school in winter &i wanna buy a tablet or iPad.i already have an iPhone 5but it's not really suitable for Iran since here it's hard to pay for apps(I only can buy medical apps).on the other hand iTunes is really hard to use&I can't download any music or videos directly in to my iPhone.now my question is which tablet is better for me?is there any free &useful apps for android?considering these matters which tablet or iPad is better for me?

If you can get WiFi access, then any tablet will do, really. Yes, there are good apps out there for anatomy, etc, for the iPad, but there are also many good online resources that you can use, for free.

As an attending, I use my tablet for PDFs of major texts and for looking up Pubmed, accessing articles and storing them for interesting or challenging cases.
