Hi, I am confused with example 2.7a and 2.7b. How do you know that they are giving you angular velocity in A but frequency in B. Both are in same units and I don't know how to distinguish. Thanks! Also, BR gives a lot of equations for circular motion but MCAT only tests centripetal force and acceleration (2 equations). Do you recommend memorizing all the equations BR provides in this section? Thx

Nah. It is highly unlikely that you will have to know the equations for rotational motion. But they are pretty much the same as the ones for kinematics..

The difference between those is similar to the difference between speed and velocity. One is a scalar (Ang. Frequency) and one is a vector (Ang velocity).

I haven't seen the question, but are they giving you a direction in one but not the other?
