Hello! My name is Betsaida Delgado, and I am a current third-year dental student at TTUHSC WLHSDM. We will be having our second annual Pre-Dental Weekend event at the Texas Tech Hunt School of Dental Medicine in El Paso. This multi-day collaborative event between the following five dental organizations- The American Dental Education Association (ADEA), The American Student Dental Association (ASDA), The Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA), the Student National Dental Association (SNDA), and the Student Executive Committee (SEC)- is scheduled to take place on April 5th-6th, 2024. Events are scheduled to begin on Friday, April 5th at 12:00 pm and will conclude on Saturday, April 6th at 5:00 pm.
During this event, pre-dental participants will experience integrated lectures presented by our faculty members, partake in hands-on preclinical activities in the simulation clinic, receive an introduction to digital dentistry, participate in mock interviews with current dental students, attend an application workshop led by the Office of Admissions and attend a mixer with current dental students.
The application to attend the event officially opens today, January 25th, 2024, and will close on February 9th, 2024. There will be up to 50 available spots. The registration fee is $200. After reviewing all applications, we will send an invite on a rolling basis to those chosen to participate with instructions on how to submit payment.
Priority for this event will be given to students who will be applying for the 2024-2025 cycle and Re-applicants!!
