God forbid if someone doesnt match residency and has nothing else to do. Perhaps Australia and some provinces in canada might be a good option. Since Podiatry in these places is not Surgical oriented. one can practice there basic podiatry on the basis of Podiatry Degree alone (no residency required).

Surgical podiatry there is a masters degree one does after finishing BSc in Podiatry. So we will be like BSc Podiatrists. If one does a residency and goes there then one can practice as a podiatry surgeon. but then again why would someone leave USA if they finished residency ;-) . The salary is very low.

im just mentioning this for people who coudnt get residency. In US, if we dont get residency then we are pretty much screwed as majority of states need some residency training to get licensed. so its better to go to aussie and make some money practicing Podiatry instead of flippin burgers or tutorin biology to students.

Ah the British medical system. I like ours better (I can't remember the housemanship, BSc, MSc crapp).

What about doing residency in Australia or New Zealand? Wasn't it Ben Carson who spent a year in Australia. I read that's where he acquired most of his nuerosurgical skills.
