thoracic surgery 5 years?

I have heard that the army has a special thoracic surgery 5 yr program? It sounds skeptical but wanted to know whether any of you have heard abt this because usually it is 5 years gen surg followed by a 2-3 yr fellowship in thoracics. PLs let me know.
