John Doe BS, Pharm.D., RPh?

I'm always a little wary of folks who use John Doe BS, RPh or John Doe PharmD, RPh; it's pretty redundant, with 98+% of all practicing pharmacists being registered pharmacists and what not. I see that, and my bull**** detector starts pinging. You all want more letters after your name? Get a MBA or a MPH!

And don't get me started on people who turn their BS into BSPharm. I've never met anyone who lists their degree as BAHistory or BSBiology. Doesn't the RPh designate exactly what degree you earned?

I've never seen all three (BS, PharmD, RPh) listed like this. Someone certainly appears to have a high opinion of themself...what is this guy like to work with?

This is one of my therapeutics professors titles:

Professor John Smith MBA, PhD, DSc, CChem, FRSC, FACN

if he truly recognizes himself as such.......then he IS the greatest person alive

as we all know, all that matters in life is the amount of letters you have after your name........

btw, u can call me

Dr. johndoe PharmD, RPh, BS ECE, SOB, LMFAO

I really don't see why people go crazy when they see a zillion letters after a person's name...? If he's done all that then good for him, he spent money, time, and effort to achieve what he wanted. Be nice, people.

I think Dr. John Doe is fine.

As for the multiple degrees, unless it's a professional degree like BSc.Pharm, I wouldn't put it since almost everyone nowadays have a bachelors of some type. Also, I think the RPh. is a little redundant if you put down a Pharm.D. but who am I to argue. The only problem I would have is if someone tried to list an associates degree which actually happened for one of the presentations that I was involved in.

I think the concensus was that the person had a stick up their ass or something to prove.

Everyone has a Bachelor's degree?

Everyone has a Bachelor's degree?

Yes, although I understand alot of pharmacy students don't have their bachelors. What I was shooting at is that if you look at doctors, dentist, podiatrist, ph.Ds, most Pharm.Ds (those that have them), ... etc. They almost never list a bachelors because its almost a given if not a given that they do have their bachelors.

The correct way to address someone is either Dr. John Doe OR John Doe, PharmD
It is not correct to say Dr. John Doe, PharmD but it is often used.
