Are reasons like research opportunities/fellowships/residencies things to consider? Or is there truly no reason to go to a more expensive school if COL is the same between schools in a similar area.
It totally depends upon what you want to do. It might be better to go to a more "prestigious" and probably more expensive school if your goal is to be a researcher. But IMO if you want to be a clinician, it really doesn't matter
It might be worth it, but it depends on the difference in price. A residency would definitely improve your clinical skills. But will it make you more money? If you can find a school that actually has a decent business program, then yes, it might be worth it. I'm waiting for the school that says, "$100k your first year or your money back!"
