Anyone know if a traditional internship satisfies the internship requirements.

That is if you do 6 months of IM in your traditional year...will that be sufficient enough? Or must you do a transitional year?

What is a traditional internship? And a transitional year usually does NOT satisfy the requirements for a Neuro internship. You have to ask and make sure they can accomodate 6 months of IM, 8 months of IM+ER+Peds, and 2 or less months of Neuro.

What you probably want (but do not need) to do is a Prelim Medicine year. Man, this should be in the FAQs. This comes up every month...

Thanks for the reply...

Sorry, I was just confused with the terminology about traditional vs transitional. I guess all that matters is that you get your required number of IM months in versus the name of the internship.
