I am a recent college graduate, who is trying to break into the field of hospital/healthcare administration. Most jobs require post graduate studies and/or job experience. I understand that most people who break into this field take the MHA/MS route. Moving back to my parents after graduation, I would love to obtain an advanced degree without moving out of San Diego (financial reasons). After searching the internet, I have found that SDSU and UCSD both offer some sort of advanced degree to break into this field. I would rather attend UCSD than SDSU, though SDSU's program is accredited and UCSD appears to not be (I live closer to UCSD as well).
Here is a link to UCSD's program:
MAS (Masters of advanced studies) in Healthcare leadership
https://lhco.ucsd.edu/
Program length: 1-3 years
Program cost: $31,000
I am just wondering if anyone can shed light onto UCSD's program. How beneficial would it be to me?
Thank you to everyone in advance!
