Hello, I am an alumni of UF with a degree in Anthropology. I just wanted to see if anyone that applied to UF have gotten in/think they will get in with a low GRE? I am above the 290 minimum and 3.5 AW, but not by much. From what I understand, the GRE is an important factor in the admissions decision, but they do not put a lot of weight on it. My last 60 hours from UF in my bachelors is a 3.65 GPA, my senior year having a 3.75 GPA. I took challenging classes such as biological anthropology, forensics, and greek language 1,2, and 3. I have 2,000+ observation hours as a rehab tech. Within those 2,000+ hours I have shadowing experience in acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics (special needs), wellness, outpatient, and neuro. I have excellent LOR's from the chair of the classiscs department at UF, a PT alumni from UF, and the owner of a small private pt clinic in Gainesville...the city where UF is. My pre-req GPA is around a 3.4 Overall, I think I have the experience/diversity they are looking for in an applicant but my pre-req and GRE is really going to hurt it. However, I am hoping my letters of rec, experience, and overall GPA will really boost my chances. Any insight into UF looking at the whole picture of an applicant will really help me out! Thanks and good luck!
