What is everyone doing for housing?

I've got a reservation for "The Quad," which is a brand-new apartment building just for UofL medical graduates. It is a little expensive, but really nice and close to the School of Medicine.

I think I'm gonna try to buy a house. the housing market is at it's lowest, right now, and I'd rather be putting my money towards an investment instead of throwing it away on rent. Who knows, maybe the market will improve over the next 4 years, in which case it will be possible to make money, not just get my money back out when it comes time to sell.
