Hi! Just wanted to make a separate thread to discuss Florida schools. Where did you apply, where did you hear back from?

I applied to one Florida school, Nova Southeastern! I submitted the supplemental application and on September 18th it was forwarded for review. I got an email about a video essay on October 1st that was due October 6th. Then I got accepted on November 5th!

Thank you! It wasn't bad at all! They broke us off in groups of 3 and a professor interviewed and she asked me why I want to get into OT. Where I see myself in 10 years. And what kind of support will I have throughout the program. It was really casual and more like a conversation.

Currently working on Nova OTD app, approximately how long was your answer to their describe your career as a OTD 5 years from now? I don’t want to go overboard in length lol

It wasn't long at all. Maybe one paragraph long.

I'm assuming once you are to get admitted, it would have to be the summer before classes start for the prereq. Some programs only let you have one or two missing at a time when you apply. Best of luck! :)

Congrats!! Can I ask what your stats are?
Thank you! And sure thing!

Overall GPA: 3.95
Pre-req GPA: 3.93
GRE: 159Q, 154V, 5.5W

Observation hours: 80+ in 4 different settings (acute in-patient, rehab hospital, peds, and hand therapy)

Hey! I just got accepted to UF, too! Do you think you will attend?
Congratulations!! I'm waiting to hear back from FGCU but if that doesn't work out, I will be going to UF! What about yourself?

Email them and ask. They reply fairly fast.

Does anyone know what the total cost of the NSU OTD program is? It’s not listed the way their MOT program is.

Have any of the UF people who accepted a spot in the class gotten anything more from the school? Like, a student id/email/student account? I got an email from Margaret Odom that she received my decision form, but no communication since then. Thanks!
