Hi everyone! First time poster here ~

So I'm leaning toward pursuing an MPH degree because I don't feel totally ready for medical school yet. I've been studying for the MCAT and set to take it in June. I know that I can use it to apply for public health schools depending on their admissions, but my question is - will the MCAT still be valid if I were to apply to medical school after the 2-year MPH?

I'm not sure how I feel about taking the test twice.. and does it make a big difference for my application to public health schools if I take the MCAT over the GRE? I already have all the books for MCAT and have signed up to take the test in two months..

Thanks for your help!

Let's look at the timeline:

You take the MCAT in June 2016 and apply to begin the MPH in 2017.
Most MPH programs are 2 years meaning you graduate in 2019.
You could apply in 2018 to begin medical school in 2019. At that point, your MCAT will be 2 years old.
By June 2019, your MCAT will be 3 years old.
