Hello! I was just wondering, I see that the Step 2 course offers 45 days of unlimited access. Approx how many hours of video are offered?

I like the organization that DiT course provides and used it for step 1.

What is the average step 2 ck scores for DIT users? I remember the step 1 average was high.

The step 1 videos last year were cut up are there any such dramatic changes for step 2 course?

Any additional comlex add for level 2 comlex?

Thanks!

I found the step 1 and step 2ck courses very helpful in my studying. Are there any plans for a step 3/level 3 review course in the works? I was considering just using the ck course again if not. Is this something that would be advisable? Thanks for your input.

Do you guys offer weekly quiz questions like in Step 1 for the Step 2 program? Thanks.

Thanks! When will the new step up to step 2 be coming out and is dr. Jenkins going to be reviewing from this book for the dit course?
The 2013 course will be available starting May 1, 2013. Yes the 2013 Step 2 course will reference the new Step Up to USMLE Step 2, third edition, (sold separately). The new edition is anticipated to be available from Lippincott Williams and Wilkins on or about April 15, 2013. DIT's Chief Educators, Brian Jenkins, MD, Mike McInnis, MD, and Chris Lewis, MD, are editors of the new edition. See the Lippencott site for more details

Yes, the Step 2 Course is divided into smaller videos similar to the 2012 Step 1 Course. New for 2013: The 2013 Step 2 course will reference the new Step Up to USMLE Step 2 CK, third edition, (sold separately).

Hi redrumi, We are glad you enjoyed our Step 1 and Step 2 Courses. Thank you for your nice comments. At this time we do not have a Step 3 Course.

Is the DiT Step 2 course as structured as the Step 1 course? Are there options to extend the length of availability of the materials past the initial 45 days? Thanks!

Hi StereoSanctity,
The Step 2 Course is designed to add structure to your studies. We know that your third year in medical school is busy with rotations and other commitments, so this should be modified to work with your schedule, but we generally recommend the following:

Prior to starting the DIT Step 2 CK course (optional):

Read through Step Up to USMLE Step 2, 2nd edition
Work through Qbank questions.
Within 4 to 5 weeks of the exam:

  • 5 hours/day of DIT Step 2 CK Course videos
  • 44 QBank Questions a day (1 hours/day)
  • 44 questions/hour would be a 1 hour day
  • Review 44 questions (2-3 hours/day)
You can view the 2012 topics here http://www.doctorsintraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/BOOK_Step2_TOC.pdf
This general plan works great for most students. If you know that you need additional structure for your Step 2 CK studies, make an appointment with one of our advisors, and they can create you a detailed daily or weekly study plan for a reasonable fee.
Yes, you can purchase an extension if you need one here https://www.doctorsintraining.com/shop/step-2-1-week-extension/.

Are there any questions that come with this? if not, do you have a similar product that i can use for questions to go along with watching the videos?

How much utility will I get out of the training course without separately purchasing Step Up to USMLE Step 2?

Does the course only follow Step Up to Step 2 in the same way the Step 1 version only follows First Aid?

And this product is available May 1?

Can someone use Step Up's old edition instead of the new one without getting totally lost in the DIT lectures? I've already annotated a lot of notes in there during rotations this year and I'd hate to have to start all over with the new edition in May.

heared about it , certainly would love to try it

Hi mvenus929,
The 2013 Step 2 course will reference the new Step Up to USMLE Step 2, third edition, and no other books. However, the 2013 Step 1 Course we will provide page references to the newest edition of First Aid 2013, page references to FA 2012, as well as page references to Step Up to Step 1 2013 New Edition. Yes, he 2013 Step 2 course will be available starting May 1, 2013.

Hi Mass Effect,
There are significant changes to the new edition, it would be a challenge to use the older edition.

Just a couple quick questions. Can you speed up video playback? Also, is there a view limit on the videos? Thanks!

Hi, are we able to watch the DIT Step 2 course on a tablet device?

Sometimes find it easier to just have videos/lectures running on a separate device so I can quickly search for anything I need to read up on further. Thanks!

Hi SN2ed,
On a PC, the course can be viewed in real time, or 1.5x time. On a mobile device it can be viewed in real time. You will have 45 days of unlimited access beginning on the date you select on your dashboard.

Hi CDI,
Videos can be viewed on most MAC or Windows computers with compatible browsers, as well as most iPhone, Ipod Touch and iPad models and most Android phones and tablets. We recommend the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome or Safari. Some Android models that include both HTML5 and Flash may have difficulty viewing the videos.
