Verbal: Inference/Assumption Questions

Hi all, I have a question regarding a type of question I've been seeing a lot in my Verbal practice.

When they ask: "Which of these can be inferred or assumed from the passage?" and you are given one answer choice that is explicitly stated while the other answer choice is something not explicitly stated but supported in the passage, are you supposed to choose the second option?

Assumption questions are ALWAYS implicit. Conclusion questions can be either implicit or explicit. Hope this helps!
