I was not daring to post this here so I posted this in DO forum but after reading some threads here I thought to take some feedback here also. I know I screwed up my MD chances but still you know I am not able to take it that I can mt be a doctor.

I have good research and volunteer experience.
I have recommendation from DO and faculty. A shsdowed a DO, family physician and a cencer specialist. Presently I am doing reasearch ( 3 credit course) and I did research last semester, which counted 3 credit hours. I am a sr in South Carolina.

You don't really have a chance at all for any MD school. DO is the way to go for you, and realize that it still won't be a cakewalk. I'm not sure why you posted this here because you already know that.

Your GPA is okay-ish for MD schools. You're a decent candidate at DO schools, but if you want a solid shot at MD, you'd need to retake and at least score in the 31+ range. A 33+ would be ideal.

Even for DO you are in trouble; they cut applicants some slack, but that is a really poor composite score.

How did you prep for the MCAT? You really need to retake and score at least 5 points higher...score a 30, and your chances at DO and MD are much greater.

Buckle down, retake it in January or April, and apply with a better score. If you have already applied to MD and DO, of course see how it goes, but you are not likely to have any success this cycle.

If you haven't applied, save your $. Do Kaplan online - I did.

I was getting 32 in MCAT practice test but somehow I scredwe it up here. I took Prinstion review in June-July. and I was not supposed to that bad in my MCAT.

I applied to 4 MD schools already. so I will just think that that money is gone.
I applied only obne DO school till now. does it make sense to apply a few more MD schools?

I know I dont stand a chance at MD school but I just wanted to confirm it as I am not able to adjust to a suitation that I can not be doctor.

if u retake the mcat and score 30 or above u still have a decent shot at an MD school, ull have to sit out this cycle though

I would not apply to any more MD schools. A couple more DO applications would be a wise idea if you have the money. I think you'll probably get in to one of them if you apply broadly enough. That said, plan to do as flip suggested and retake the MCAT in January. If you have an acceptance before then, awesome, but you want to make sure you're set for acceptance next year if this year doesn't go as you hope.
