What are my chances of getting into a California MD or DO? I am particularly interested in WesternU Pomona. Should I retake my MCAT or work on other parts of my application ?

You could receive interviews at some CA MD schools including California University, Loma Linda (if you fit their mission). UC Davis and UC Irvine. Your chances are better at Western and TUCOM-CA. However, you should apply OOS also since the majority of CA applicants attend schools OOS.
I suggest these MD schools:
TCU
NOVA MD
Wake Forest
George Washington
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
Hackensack
New York Medical College
Albany
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin
Belmont (when it opens)
For DO schools consider these:
AZCOM
TUNCOM
KCU-COM
ATSU-KCOM
DMU-COM
MU-COM
NOVA
PCOM
NYITCOM
Touro-NY
CUSOM
