Hello! Posting for a friend who is applying this cycle. She is a URM, non-trad applicant, & disadvantaged.
GPA: 3.8 cGPA, 3.7 sGPA, strong upward trend
MCAT: 501 (2nd attempt - increase from previous attempt)
1. State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US): FL
2. Ethnicity and/or race: Black
3. Undergraduate institution or category: Large public school
4. Clinical Experience: ~80 hours clinical volunteering (helping with elderly & helping at a free clinic), over 5000 hours of clinical work experience mostly working with the elderly
5. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: ~60 hours (only virtual shadowing; a variety of specialties)
6. Non-Clinical Volunteering: ~400 hours -- helping w/ elderly & being a part of non-profit that builds homes for the underserved
7: Research: Slightly less than 400 Hours w/ 1 publication.
8. Other Extracurricular activities: was a TA, worked a non-clinical job as camp counselor
9. Anything else -- overall theme on my app was geared towards geriatrics, would like to go to a primary care-focused school

^^ She already added these schools on her primary prior to asking me to post this for her. She would like to add 4 more MD schools to make it 30 total.
DO List:

2. MSU
3. OU Heritage
4. Univ of Pikeville Kentucky
She only has 4 DO schools so far. She's wanting to stop at 4 DO schools (due to cost) but will consider a few extra schools., if needed.
