Hello! Looking to solidify my school list and get an idea of how I might fare this cycle, as I'm having some reservations due to my GPA. Looking mostly to apply to DO schools.

Race/Ethnicity: ORM (Caucasian female)

cGPA: 3.5
sGPA: 3.24

MCAT: 498 on first attempt, 509 on second attempt (126, 127, 126, 130)

State: Missouri resident with Kansas ties.

Clinical Experience:
- 750 hours as a medical scribe with an internal medicine DO
- 1800 hours as a medical scribe with 2 family medicine DO

Non-Clinical Experience:
- 120 hours as a chemistry stockroom assistant at my university

Volunteering:
- 160 hours volunteering at my local humane society.

Extracurriculars:
- Member of my university's premedical club
- Participated in marching band, have played and continue to play the flute since 5th grade.
- Sorority member

Relevant Awards and Honors:
- Member of National Society of Leadership and Success
- Dean's list for 3 semesters

How are you connected with Kansas? Have you contacted the KU MD program or attended any recruitment events? If you have a strong connection with Kansas (like graduating from HS in the state), you may have a very strong chance for an interview.

I grew up in Kansas. Graduated from high school in KS and went to a KS university. Technically moved to MO in 2018 after graduating from high school. I've not gone to any recruitment events, but I have had speakers from KU come talk to my pre-health orientation class while I was in my undergraduate program.

I'll definitely look into applying to my state schools. Thank you!
