I'm posting for my SO who is applying. More info here:
She's a nontrad, URM, who is wrapping up an MPH and has an undergrad double degree. She has taught middle school science, been an ED scribe, a research assistant, and has done bench research, presentations, conferences, honors thesis, e-board of pre-med society at undergraduate institution, etc. All the ECs are there.
uGPA is about 3.4 with about the same sGPA, grad school GPA for her MPH program is about 3.9. The issue is the MCAT. She's taken it 3 times, 22, 23, and 25 in that order. Each time she taken it she has not had a good amount of dedicated time to study for it, usually working full time or taking classes and working full time, only leaving her time to study for the MCAT in the afternoon or late evening. The most recent 25 was from the 9/18/14 test, but as the score came back later and lower than she would have wanted we are not sure if she will get any interviews this cycle. She waited to submit secondaries until after that score came back, but being Mid-October/Early November it might be too late to expect any interviews.
So the question aside from WAMC is should she retake the MCAT in April with more studying to prepare and brace for the next cycle or just apply with what she has and make sure that it is early enough to get looked at.
Note: her composite score of the highest individual section scores is a 28.
