I was just wondering how bad is it if a person has a "WF" on their transcript?
Does it factor into the GPA?

withdraw failing i guess .Like when a student withdraws from the university.

WF you know howpeople get "W's" on the transcript? One of my friends got a W-F

a withdraw doesn't look so good. But a Withdraw failing looks pretty bad. If it is a tuff call whether to except them or not, it might be pretty bad.

My school also uses WF (withdraw failing) and WP (withdraw passing) to show the state of your grade at the time of withdrawal. A WF shows that you were failing the class and withdrew from it. It looks pretty bad, but it doesent factor into GPA since it is after all a "W".

On second thought, AMCAS averages gpa's, so would they count this in?

In one of my post interviews, I had to say how many withdraws I had. Anymore than 2 and I think it looked bad.

I mean, it's definitely not good. I don't think it's horrible either though. He'll survive.

Its not going to be factored into the GPA, so it shouldn't bother your friend too much.
