Hi guys,
I am not a US citizen, but a permanent resident. I have 3.89 GPA in college with one first author publication in the Journal of American chemical society. I will finish my MS degree in pharmacology with a GPA around 3.75.
I have done drug discovery research for the past 5 years (3 years in college, 2 in grad school). My EC includes 2 years teaching experience in undergrad and pharmacy school, leadership positions in undergrad, volunteer experience in hospitals (100 hrs +), shadowing doctors (200 hrs +).
I haven't taken my MCAT yet. To apply in spring 2014, I am hoping to take MCAT in early February. My current practice test ranges from 30-35.
What are my chances to get into a MD program? And what can I do to make myself a more attractive applicant? Thanks.
