Hello all! I hope everyone found peace in submitting the applications today!

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to look at my stats and estimate if I have a chance of getting in!

I am 23F, Wisconsin resident, have my B.S. in animal science from Iowa State Univ and I will have a master's of veterinary science from U of IL in the spring of 2024. I have applied once before (21-22 cycle). I currently work full-time and do the master's program on the side.

cGPA (undergrad): 3.19
cGPA (graduate): 3.83
Overall: 3.26
Science GPA (overall): 3.24
Science GPA (undergrad): 3.14
Science GPA (graduate): 3.83
Last 45: ~3.4 (I think, not sure what this is qualified on VMCAS as)

Vet experiences: roughly ~6,000 hours
4080 hours mixed animal practice (high school)
1670 hours small animal practice (undergrad)

Animal experience:
204 hours at Iowa State Vet School in the equine hospital
1700 hours at the horse barn on campus at Iowa State
264 on a commercial sow farm
2360 hours in Laboratory animal science with non-human primate drug development
4-H and FFA in HS showing rabbits and horses

Work experience:
496 hours at the front desk at a hotel
315 hours as a summer camp counselor


Research
520 hours in equine anthelmintic effectiveness research
2360 hours in a lab animal research environment (I didn't submit this as research because it is more a job than anything)

2 from vets: one research the other from small animal clinic In undergrad
1 from my mentor, big in the horse judging scene and professor at ISU
1 from my current supervisor in lab animal job whom I work closely with


Applying to: Iowa State, Virginia-Maryland (2nd time), Wisconsin (IS), Bristol U (UK), and Univ. of Arizona (2nd time)

I think your improved GPA in grad school will help you and you have a lot of experience as well. If you struggled with somethign specifically in undergrad that impacted your GPA I wouldn't be afraid to mention it in your explanation statement
