I am an IMG applying to anesthesiology residencies for the 2015 match. I scored 224 step 1, passed CS, and will take step 2 Sept 16th. I worked as a med tech for 2 years before med school. I dont have much extracurricular experience, other than a few volunteer efforts, was a part of 1 student organization during basic sciences. But I do have 2 publications, and I honored my clinical rotations. I am looking to apply to all IMG friendly places for sure. The main thing I am worried about is the timing of my step 2. Will this set me back much? What are my chances overall? Should i Submit Sept 15th or wait until I get my score? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
