Hi everyone,

I am finishing a bachelors in linguistics / psychology, and I am extremely interested in pursuing a career in speech pathology. I am looking at some of the peer-reviewed journals out there, but I am wondering if anyone can point me to the important studies / areas of investigation currently being pursued, as well as if there are notable "leaders" or experts in the field.

thank you!

Your question is way too broad. Speech pathology encompasses everything from feeding and swallowing in the NICU, adult head and neck cancer treatment, pediatric speech and language disorders, adults with aphasia... The list goes on and on. Do some research and figure out what areas of SLP you're interested in and that might help focus your question.
