There is only like nine schools so not much ranking has happened

but there are rankings to residencies :)

Best clinical exp/volume/diversity during 3rd yr = Barry or Temple... but basic science academics might need more self motivation.
Best academics (esp basic science) = DMU, Scholl, or AZ... but local clinic vol/diversity leave a fair amount to be desired sometimes.

Western is kinda a wild card due to being so new.

Any of the schools can give you what you need if you apply yourself and work hard.

The answer to your question can be found in Feli's statement above.

It is all how you look at it. Maybe go to the worst school and be valedictorian? Top students from all schools go to the top residencies.

The best school is the one that fits you the best. You want to go somewhere that you will feel comfortable and like living for 4 years.

So if you've lived in a big city your whole life and enjoy that kind of living, it would be a mistake you go to the Iowa school. You'd be miserable during your non-school time and your academic performance would probably suffer.

Even though a few have a better reputation, there are great and terrible students that come out of each school. Some just have a greater percentage of bad students, but their top students would be top students anywhere they went (including MD/DO school).
