What can an Optometrist focus on?

I was wondering if as a optometrists are you able to find a job that focuses on diagnosing and treating ocular diseases rather than going down the private practice of selling lenses path?

Do some research. If treating diseases is the only aspect of Optometry that interests you, then you need to choose a different career.
