I recently did a credit history check to see that I had a collections claim of $90 for a petty parking ticket I got earlier this year. I sincerely meant to pay it, but I honestly just forgot. I travelled out of the country for eight months, so I unfortunately didn't see any warnings/reminders sent to my mailbox. I'm sure this isn't a big deal, but will this in any way inhibit me from qualifying for the Graduate PLUS loan upon (hopeful) matriculation next fall? I have made the payment for my crime...not sure if that makes a difference at this stage, though.
