what is the consensus when listing a school club on amcas? split years or make it continuous

Hello,

I was sophomore senator and junior senator for Student Govt. Would it be okay to just put a start date and end date assuming that adcoms will know that I was obviously not active during the summer. I was just wondering if this comes off misleading.

So would it be okay to say I was Student Govt senator from August 2013 straight to May 2015 and list the total hours? I would really prefer to not split it up.

If anyone else listed clubs did you just put the start date and end date if you were involved with the club for multiple years?

That's what we did in my day when there wasn't an option to split up dates/hours.

I'd probably split it up but honestly it probably doesn't matter either way.
