What sort of EC's will help a post-bacc student's application look good?

Hi--

I am a post-bacc student who really wants to make my application outstanding. I want to show that I am 100% totally into medicine and that I have abandoned my old career for this new one. What interesting things have people done, besides the routine volunteer at a hospital, which I'm doing but don't get to do anything of substance? I'm talking super-exciting things that will make the adcom stand up and take notice.

hmmm...hard to say...some ppl do research and get published...some people go off to cambodia or somewhere to do volunteer work

i would suggest you do something not particularly related to medicine to stand out cause most of the medicine related things have been done. i worked on 2 independent films as my special thingy majigger
