Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out what the best option would be for me class-wise for next semester as I will begin studying for MCAT 2015 in the fall or even early summer. I don't want to have too much of a workload, but how many credits is ideal?

My first option is:

Physics 1 w/ lab (4)
Cell Bio (3)
Ecology (3)
Writing Class (3)
-Unfortunately this only totals 13

My other option is:
Anatomy 1 (4)
Physics 1 (4)
Writing class (3)
Some other core class (3)
-This totals 14, but is it still fine?

What is my best option? I will also continue to volunteer at the hospital.

Any help is much appreciated- Thanks!

I'm no expert here but I think cell bio would be better for you take if you're preparing for the mcat. I also think physiology would be more beneficial over anatomy if you have that option.

But 13 or 14 is fine

Oh I see what you mean- and our anatomy is called "human structure and function" which incorporates both anatomy and physiology

Would Physics 1, anatomy, cell bio, and writing be too much?

Yeah that definitely sounds like A&P. haha id take that route.

Would taking 13 credit hours of Physics 1, Cell Bio, Ecology and writing be too little? Is it frowned upon to take 13 or 14 credits even if it is for a good purpose?

It's not too little. Quit worry about the number of credits and just get through the courses. Quality>quantity
