So I am awaiting orders to be cut so I can get rolling with the Army reserves. I was wondering from experience of others here when do you take your first AFT? First time you report for drill? Just like to know what to expect.

April and October are the traditional months for the PT test.

A unit might require you to take a diagnostic test right off the bat, to see if you are gonna be a problem from day 1.

My unit has a PT test every month, not required, but offered.

You have to pass one every 'year', which actually means 14 months because 12=14 in .gov math.

Thank you! I was just wanting to be prepared for the first day I go to drill.
