When is the appropriate time for applying Financial Aids?

It's probably after you actually get admitted to a school.

I plan on filing my taxes in early February and filling out a FAFSA immediately after that so that I'll have that processing out of the way for loans and potential need-based scholarships. If my school is not yet decided by then, I'll just put all the schools that I applied to on my FAFSA if that is possible.
 
I would say just do your taxes early on and have your documents ready and if you already have a Fafsa, you just have to reapply and that takes around 15-30 minutes at most to fill in. I Would also say just wait to see where you are accepted and if it is getting around the end of April, just submit it to the schools you are waiting to hear from or the schools you got accepted..
