When to send letters of recommendations?

As I look for individual letter of recommendation requirements for each schools, many of them mention that they request letters of recommendation with secondary applications. So should I be sending letters of recommendations to schools only after receiving a secondary application request from them? Or can I go on ahead and send all the letters they require with my initial AMCAS application?

Send them with your initial AMCAS. This is probably a holdover from before AMCAS held letters and you had to send them to each school individually.
