Hi, I recently completed my bachelor of dentistry. I heard that some US states offer residency program in which you have to spend 2 or 3 years and you can choose the field you want to master in for e.g. General residency program and etc. So it's kind of an easy way of specialising and getting license in US instead of spending loads of money on Advanced standing program that is DDS or DMD.
Does any one have any idea regarding this so kindly please guide and help me through it.
Regards..

I did that, at Indiana university school of dentistry. At the grad pros program. Got the specialty and it counts as the years needed in a ada accredited school to apply for a US. DDS.
The program it's 3 years. It was the only program in that school that didn't asked for a Us dds and is accredited by the ada. Not all the master degrees programs are accredited by ada to get a license. So be careful. A lot of the operative programs are not.

Oh okay, well I heard that either you go for 2 year residency prog or DDS, usually residency prog do not need dds.
