a propane with a positive charge on C2.

propane is
ch3-ch2-ch3 right?
if C2 is a carbocation then it becomes

ch3 -ch+ -ch3
it has a steric number of three b/c it is bonded to 2 methyl groups and the hydrogen
1+2 = 3
.:. it has a hybridization of s1p2 aka sp^2
