I was thinking about sending an update letter to 2 schools whose post interview decisions come out in march. Is it not worth it at this point? Will an update letter/ letter of interest be helpful this close to when decisions come out or should I leave them alone and not annoy them?

Thanks !

bump. anyone? comments from someone having experience with LOI/update letter will be greatly appreciated!

Doesn't hurt, so why not? At best they review your file one more time if they were on the fence.

If they haven't made a decision and accept updates, then go ahead. It will only help. But this is a very school dependant question since some may have already seen your application and ranked it while others may continuously see it.

Depends on the school, but generally, YES! Keep in mind that most waitlist movement will occur in March-May as people start to make their final decisions. If a school accepts and considers update letters, then you should send them in by this time. This isn't true everywhere, of course, so make sure you know what each school prefers and the timeline of their cycles.
