Does society look down on women who are PA versus men? What is the percentage of women got accepted to PA schools?

No, not in my experience.

The percentage of women PA's is quite a bit higher than that of men.

I am one of 7 guys in a program of 30, the class above me has 4 males. It was the same in undergrad and to some extent my high school math and science classes, so it is normal to me.

I have a friend who just graduated from PA school and she's grand.

I've never run into anyone who looks down on a PA due to their gender.

Other reasons? Well, that's another story...

I haven't heard of any bias against females who are PAs, although some fields tend to attract more of the males (ie, surgery, especially Ortho). As long as you're good, I wouldn't think it would matter (except to those who don't like the little wimmen doing anything outside of the home).
