So I know at Emory, 2 MD/PhD students are given the Robert Woodruff scholarship.
For MD students who get this same scholarship, this amounts to a tuition waiver.

So for MD/PhD students - who are already getting tuition waived and receiving a stipend, do the Woodruff scholars receive extra money (in addition to their normal stipend)?

Thanks

no they don't. it is an alternate private source of funding that allows emory to take more md/phd students. many schools have mechanisms like this which allows them to expand their program beyond the 6 or so slots a year the nih fully funds [for a set amount of time].
