Worth updating schools?

It's definitely important enough to update, but I would also be strategic about the timing of your updates. Schools JUST got your primary. Interviews are just starting to go out. Give the school a bit of time to give you an interview. If maybe Sept 1 or so rolls around, and you know the schools has been giving out interviews but you haven't gotten one yet, send them an update. Otherwise, I think it's better to send updates after the interview, so the update can be blended with a thank you/letter of continued interest.
