A lot of people seem to get their training at Malcolm X College (one of the city colleges). It costs around $500. Not sure about other colleges, but I think any of the city college EMT classes are taught by CFD paramedics. I've heard that Superior provides paid EMT training in one month, in a M-F course. They have strict attendence/tardy policies. Since they pretty much pay the most out of the private transports, this might be a good option to look into.
