UC Post Bac Cycle 2014

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thank you 🙂 Both. First I recieved a phone call then they sent me the confirmation via e-mail.

I was accepted at UCI and I have to let them know if I plan to attend before my UCSF interview on May 6. Any advice?

Does anyone know any advantages of UCSF vs UCI, or vice versa?

Wow, been a while since I wrote on this forum cause I didn't know it expanded to a second page. I've only been looking at the first page. 😛

This is probably already too late to help you DR. TORTILLA, but I'll just say it to help anyone else having trouble. To answer your question DR. TORTILLA, I would go with UCI mainly because you don't know the outcome of UCSF (what if you decline UCI and get rejected from UCSF?). UCSF has a bigger name since the school has always been in top 10 MD schools in primary care and research in the nation. However, UCI still has a great post bac program for medicine (unless you're going into dentistry then I don't know). In the end, anyone in a UC post bac will most likely get into MD school, DO school, Dentistry school, Optometry school, etc. UC post bac programs have a great reputation so it doesn't really matter which one to attend - one is just ranked higher, but they're all ranked high already. I guess location is probably the deal breaker unless you care a lot about ranking.

Congrats by the way!!!!

I'm just hoping to get into one. I've already got rejected from UCI. 🙁
Just waiting and hoping to get into one of the other (UCLA, UCSF, UCD, or UCR). 🙁
