Should I register for AAMC now?

I'm planning to take the MCAT this coming July and possibly August too. I wanted to know when I should start registering for AAMC for a username and password. Does it take a long time to get approved? And, when should I register for the test for July? I know that they get filled quickly, so when do you guys recommend someone to register?

Also, is this the right link to register for the AAMC:

Once I click on "Register here" it goes to MCAT Registration, but it says "MCAT 2006". Is this the right place?

Register as soon as they open the registration for the date that you are interested in as spots at particular testing locations fill up fast. It looks like dates thru May are available now for registration, so you have a couple of months probably until July is up. Yes, that is the right place. Disregard the 2006. Get your login now, and you can fill in your info, and just keep checking for the July dates to be released.

I second that. as soon as registration opens, book your seat. if you aren't ready you can push it back... but if you wait, you may not get one at a test center you want.
