I am scheduled to take the MCAT on Feb 17th, 5 weeks away. My practice exams have been, unscored 508 and FL1 512 (127/128/130/127). I want my full-length average to be at 518, ideally 520.

Should I reschedule for March 28th to give myself an extra 4.5 weeks? I will be starting the semester next week with a fairly light course load. My reasoning is that I have 6 full lengths left, section bank 2, AAMC CARS materials left, and I do 4 hours of ANKI every day. I am not sure if I could get through all of this in 5 weeks even with a light semester. So I figure if I reschedule I will have more time to complete these extra materials and have the best shot at a 518.

What do you think am I just in my head or should I reschedule? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

You still have 5 weeks of prep time left and you are already scoring in the 510s. I think with the time you have remaining and the material left to cover you should be able to achieve your goal. I wouldn't consider pushing back your exam any further as you may also start to forget material or content you've already covered if your preparation period is too long.

In 5 weeks I wouldn't count on an 8-point increase from the FL average. 8-10 weeks minimum in my opinion. In your situation I would reschedule to be as prepared as possible. If you keep solving practice problems and doing Anki daily I'm convinced your studying will outpace the rate of forgetting. You have plenty of time until the application cycle opens.

The other commenter above disagrees with me so take my advice with a grain of salt.
